Dr. Siddiq is a board-certified urologist with fellowship training in endourology, laparoscopy and robotic surgery. As a minimally invasive surgeon, he is committed to surgical options that minimize incisions, pain, and recovery times for his patients. He has a special interest in urologic cancers and kidney stone disease. Dr. Siddiq grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduating summa cum laude from Providence College, he obtained his medical degree from Brown University, graduating among the top of his class. He completed a general surgery internship and then a urology residency at Brown University and Affiliated Hospitals. After his residency, Dr. Siddiq trained as a fellow in endourology, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery at the University of Miami. In 2004, Dr. Siddiq was recruited to join the Urology Center of SW Louisiana where he was a partner. Dr. Siddiq has been a leader in urologic surgery in Southwest Louisiana since then. In November, 2019, he joined the staff at Memorial Hospital and opened the doors to his new practice, Advanced Urology in Lake Charles & Sulphur, LA.

Expert in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery

Dr. Siddiq routinely performs laparoscopic and robotic surgery for kidney and prostate cancer and has extensive experience in the field. He serves as a reference and surgeon for other urologists with exceptionally difficult cases to manage. Dr. Siddiq has been a pioneer in minimally invasive urology in Louisiana. He was one of the first urologists in the state to perform laparoscopic and CT-guided radiofrequency ablation of kidney cancers and has trained other physicians in the technique. In addition, Dr. Siddiq was the first in the state to perform a robotic or da Vinci partial nephrectomy for kidney cancer. He was one of the first physicians in Louisiana to offer robotic prostatectomy for prostate cancer, performing the first da Vinci prostatectomy in Lake Charles in 2006.

Dr.Siddiq is a leader and pioneer in robotic surgery. He started the robotics program at Christus St.Patrick Hospital and served as the Director of Robotic Surgery from 2006-2014. He then started the robotics program and was the Director of Robotic Surgery at Lake Area Medical Center from 2014-2019. In November 2019, Dr. Siddiq moved his practice to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and started his tenure as the Director of Robotic Surgery at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Dr. Siddiq has been instrumental to bringing robotic surgical technology to all three major hospitals in Lake Charles.

Dr. Siddiq is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Endourology Society, the Society of Robotic Surgery, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He has published extensively in his field.
